MEGADETH Bassist Issues Plea For Tsunami Relief Aid

January 5, 2005

MEGADETH bassist James MacDonough (ex-ICED EARTH) has sent the following message to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"I would really appreciate if you posted this on your site, even if just a handful of people took it to heart. Anything is good. Please and thank you very much!!!

"As all of you know there has been a disaster of 'biblical' proportions. 146,000 plus is the death toll last time I read and it continues to climb, all before the onset of disease. There's not much anyone can do but to donate money for the relief effort, which would help out with medical supplies and food which is in desperate need. It's really hard for anyone to grasp the severity of this situation unless you're there or have family over there. I normally am very skeptical about giving to organizations because of the obvious, is it really going there? What is being used for? Are people really being helped? I provided a list [at MSNBC], just please if you have sympathy and respect for all these people, pick something out of the list and give just a little. It doesn't matter how much it is, if we all send something we can try to make a difference in their future at least. A bowl of food when you haven't had any in a week is a godsend. Just pick one you're comfortable with and donate something from your heart. Thank you very much for reading!!"
